Join the excitement at Happy Wednesday "Japan Nights" on 2, 9, or 16 April 2025 where you can dive yourself in Japanese vibes! Customers who purchase 4 pints or 1 jug of beer at the designated food trucks at Beer Garden of Happy Valley Racecourse and register for photo taking at the designated booth with the valid receipt(s) on the same day together with up to 3 companions, you’ll get the chance to experience and take stunning photos in a Yukata.
Furthermore, you may have a chance to win the prize of a Travel Voucher (in the value of HKD8,000) to Japan and other amazing rewards by entering to the lucky draw*.
*Only the customer submitting the receipt for registration and publishing an Instagram post or story may participate in the lucky draw.
How to participate
- On 2, 9 or 16 April 2025, customers who purchase 4 pints or 1 jug of beer at the designated food truck at Beer Garden of Happy Valley Racecourse on the same day (a maximum of two transaction receipts on the same-day can be combined for calculation) and register for taking photo with valid receipt(s) at the designated photo booth, may take photo with a maximum of 3 companions at the designated photo booth on the same day. Only the participant submitting the receipt is eligible to participate in the lucky draw. Each receipt may only be used to participate in photo taking at the designated photo booth once;
- The customer submitting the receipt shall publish the photo taken at the designated photo booth on Instagram as a post or stories and tag the official Instagram page of Happy Wednesday (@HappyWednesdayHK) ; and
- Show the published Instagram post or stories and relevant receipt to the staff at designated spot at Happy Valley Racecourse within the designated registration period. After verification, the customer submitting the receipt can register on the designated Lucky Draw webpage on-site. Designated registration period is 2 April 2025 from 5:00pm to 11:15pm (Day 1), 9 April 2025 from 5:00pm to 11:15pm (Day 2) and 16 April 2025 from 5:00pm to 11:15pm (Day 3). Each participant can submit only once per registration day. Each verified submission will have one entry to the lucky draw. Each receipt may only be used to participate in the lucky draw once.

Joining the Party

To enter the Public Enclosure, simply use your Octopus card to pay the HK$10 admission fee at racecourse entrance G to get into the public area which includes the Grandstand, betting hall and numerous restaurants.

To enter the special betting zone within the Public Enclosure, an additional admission fee applies.

No person under 18 is allowed to bet or enter premises where bets are accepted.

Tourist aged 18 or above and hold a valid travel document or passport for entry to Hong Kong can enjoy free entry to public enclosure.
Opening Hours

Horse racing runs from September to July, usually on Wednesday nights (*May subject to change on special race days, refer to racing calendar).

Opening Time: 2 hours prior to the first race until the end of the last race. If there are more than 8 races during the night, the opening time will bring forward accordingly. The first race starts at 6:40* PM or 7:10*PM, depends of the number of races arranged that night. The last race finishes at around 11:00PM*

The suggested last entry time is 9:30PM to ensure that aside from the horse racing, you can enjoy other entertainment performances in the venue.

The racecourse is open on all public holidays unless otherwise announced.
