Music Festival Fever hits Happy Wednesday this June and July

Coachella 2024 has officially come to an end, but does your music passion still burn strong? Things are heating up this summer and we’re not just talking about the temperature. Happy Wednesday is showcasing the best beats from around the globe in a five-week long Music Festival that will be as action-packed as it will be Instagrammable. 

The Happy Valley Racecourse will be transformed on June 5, 12, 26, and July 4, 10, where guests will experience a blast from the past – Y2K vibes are back with a vengeance and it’s all about neon LEDs, magic cubes and cassette players, all serving as the perfect backdrop to the incredible musical line-up.

You can’t have a musical celebration without a splash of Brit Pop, and Macau-born singer and songwriter Ari Calangi kicks things off on June 5 with chart-topping hits from the best British bands of all time.

June 12 returns to home turf with a night that celebrates the best of local Cantopop. Homegrown sensation band, Pandora, which includes lead vocalist and guitarist Tony Huen, bass guitarist Anakin Foo and drummer Michael Huen, will perform their biggest hits as well as some never-heard-before covers.

On June 26 energy levels are bound to reach an all-time high as electronic music sensation DJ Shyne will hit the decks with his innovative remixes alongside a live drummer and saxophonist.

The Afroseas, Hong Kong’s biggest afrobeats group, will return to the Happy Wednesday stage on July 4 to pay tribute to this soulful musical genre, alongside an exciting battle performance featuring renowned Beatboxer Heartgrey, TVB Dance Competition “Dance For Life” Champion, Anisha Thai and a Champion Breakdancer.

Festival fever reaches its climax on July 10 with the ultimate party. This energetic season finale will bring a cool Latin flavour to the racecourse, complete with samba dancers and batucada drummers.

Dancing works up the appetite so be sure to visit the beer garden’s iconic food truck each week to enjoy sensational dishes including Japanese cold soba with shrimp, Thai sirloin salad taco, Spanish garlic and chilli prawns, alongside festival staples like burgers, fries, nachos, slushies, frozen beer and the newly launched frozen cocktails that will keep you refreshed during the hot summer nights.
