Thundering hooves collide with high energy beats as festival fever hits the Happy Valley Racecourse this summer. Starting from June, Happy Wednesday will bring the unbridled energy of music festivals from across the globe to the heart of Happy Valley in a celebration of dance, culture and horseracing.
All ears will be on the beer garden which will stage a diverse lineup of musical acts that are sure to get visitors dancing all night long. The programme will kick off with Afrobeats on June 7, which pays tribute to one of the fastest growing musical genres in the world. Guests can immerse themselves in the pulsating sounds of energetic duo Afroseas, whose music combines traditional African rhythms, jazz and funk. Dancers and performers will round off the ultimate African experience.
Mykonos Madness on June 14 will transport guests to the sun-drenched party island, which is known for its chill sounds and feel-good music. Renowned local band Indigo Town will keep the crowds pumping with popular favourites while guests can mingle with magical fairies and other delightful performers.
Disco lovers and dancing queens are sure to boogie the night away on June 28 at a nostalgic event that harks back to the heady days of 1970s disco. Hong Kong’s popular live music band OnPoint will play the decade’s greatest hits, covering disco, funk and soul and inspiring guests to recreate their best John Travolta moves.
Great Britain has given birth to some of the greatest bands of all time, so it is fitting that July 6 is dedicated to the best of Brit Pop. A celebration of all things British, attendees can rock out to chart toppers by Rolling Stones, Oasis, Blur and Coldplay.

Festival fever will culminate with the ultimate summer carnival for the Happy Valley season finale on July 12 headlined by Chris Polanco and his band. Co-hosted by #Legend, high profile guests and VIPs will enjoy listening to Latino favourites while perfecting their salsa and samba skills alongside professional dancers.
Dancing works up the appetite which is why the Beer Garden’s iconic food truck will offer themed snacks at each event ranging from African Piri Piri Chicken (Afrobeat) to Pita Gyros (Mykonos Madness) and pork pies (Brit pop), in addition to a menu of summer favourites like cotton candy, ice lollies, smoothies and other treats.
Happy Wednesday Music Festivals will run from June 7 to July 12 at the Happy Valley Racecourse, Hong Kong.
