Celebrate Oktoberfest with an authentic Bavarian Extravaganza at the Happy Valley Racecourse.

Get ready to immerse yourself in the lively ambiance of Germany’s famed beer halls as the Happy Valley Racecourse brings back Oktoberfest starting from October 4. This highly anticipated event promises to transport race lovers to the heart of Bavaria, offering an authentic German experience in the bustling district of Happy Valley.

On October 4, guests are invited to raise their glasses and revel in the merriment of this iconic annual celebration which includes live music performed by an authentic German band and traditional folk dance performances which are sure to captivate the crowd with their unbridled energy.

Foodies can indulge in a delectable array of traditional Bavarian delicacies including mouthwatering sausages, crispy pork knuckle and freshly baked pretzels. Our popular food truck will be making a return after a successful season opening, rounding off what is sure to be an indulgent culinary experience.

On October 11, the Happy Valley Racecourse comes alive with multiple happenings and not-to-be-missed experiences at various locations throughout the racecourse. The day kicks off with the grand opening ceremony, featuring HKJC CEO, Mr. Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, who will be joined by a representative from the German Consulate General Hong Kong to tap the barrel – an Oktoberfest tradition - to commence the night’s festivities. The ceremony sets the stage for an exhilarating day filled with live band performances, engaging stage games, captivating dances, and much more.

This vibrant atmosphere will continue at the Beer Garden on Oct 4, 11 & 18. Partygoers can continue to enjoy music from popular local bands while savoring traditional German delicacies. This celebration adds an extra dose of excitement and entertainment to the Oktoberfest festivities.

Admission to Happy Wednesday is free to public until December. For Oct 18, the first race starts at 6:45pm and our gates open 2 hours prior to that.
