Happy Wednesday is going green with an unforgettable St. Patrick’s Day celebration this March!

Get ready to channel the luck of the Irish with a series of exhilarating events at Happy Wednesday on March 13 and 20 that showcase the best of the famed Emerald Isle, and its rich and unique culture.

Brace yourself for evenings full of merriment and excitement as the Irish spirit takes over the Happy Valley Racecourse. In keeping with tradition, guests are invited to wear and show off their most vibrant green attire – Shamrocks included, since we could all do with some extra luck!

Spirits are sure to run high thanks to a stellar line up of live acts and entertainment – a Happy Wednesday signature that keeps guests coming back for more.  On March 13, The Young Bucks, a renowned six-piece band, will enchant racegoers with their soulful and infectious melodies that capture the true essence of Ireland. The following week, Jordan Road will wow crowds with their music.

Michael Flatley may have brought Irish dance to the global stage, but Happy Wednesday’s Irish dancers are sure to captivate crowds with their unique rendition, performed alongside a pulsating medley of iconic music by modern Irish favourites. Full of rhythm, their infectious energy and sharp moves are sure to get guests on their feet. Those that have the best moves, try their luck at the Roll a Dice game!

No St Paddy’s celebration is complete without beer, and Happy Wednesday has joined forces with legendary Irish brand Guinness to keep glasses full and palates whet. Take the challenge from our Game Master at the Beer Garden to win a specially designed hat from Guinness that will add the perfect final touch to their festival attire.

Food is the star at any St Patrick’s Day celebrations so don’t forget to indulge in traditional Irish favourites at the food truck and food counters. Mouthwatering delicacies include shepherd’s pie potato skins, corned beef and cabbage and Guinness beef stew alongside green-themed snacks and sweets include green pea gazpacho, guacamole and green velvet cupcakes. Bailey’s will also be offering two special creations at the food truck featuring their signature Irish cream, including a refreshing Mint Martini and decadent Creamy Espresso Martini.
