Get Race Happy this season! Hot on the heels of a record breaking season finale in July, Happy Wednesday is back this September with an exciting line-up of feel-good and fun-filled events that are set to get Hong Kong buzzing.
The season begins with a bang as the The Greatest Show in Town offers a spectacle like no other. On September 13 the Happy Valley Racecourse will be transformed into a vibrant carnival that celebrates the best of East and West. Guests can enjoy a neon-themed lion dance that combines an iconic Chinese tradition with contemporary dance, while popular band Azucar Carnivale will entertain the crowd with lively Latina beats.
On September 20, the fun continues as partygoers are invited to test their own circus skills alongside live acts and performances by jugglers and acrobats, while enjoying chart-topping hits by Happy Wednesday favourite, local band OnPoint.
Closing out the month is a special Mid-Autumn festival celebration on September 27. Friends, family and racings fans will come together in an all-out celebration that includes a Chinese fan dance and live music by Jordan Road.
No fete is complete without great eats and there will be plenty on offer each week at the iconic Food Truck, from popcorn to slushies that beat the heat, which would replenish all the calories burnt from dancing the night away.
Don’t forget to look out for our specially designed ”Greatest Show in Town” tram which will be running throughout the month of September.
The Greatest Show in Town will run from September 13 to September 27, every Wednesday, at the Happy Valley Racecourse, Hong Kong. Admission to Happy Wednesday is free to all members of the public until December.
