Galloping Foodies: Ian Sham
17/03/2021
He’s a leading Hong Kong based bloodstock agent and the knowledgeable and jovial television host of his own racing programme. Ian Sham also enjoys spending time in the culinary world.
He’s French jockey Antoine Hamelin, relatively new to Hong Kong, and who’s quickly become a favourite with local racing fans.
When we asked Ian to join our Galloping Foodies online ride for Happy Wednesday, he went to work on creating Ho Ming Lin Go - Korean Rice Cake- inspired by Antoine Hamelin.
Why was it inspired by “M.C. Hamelin”?
We’re really not too sure. But here, East meets West by way of Ho Ming Lin Go - Ho Ming Lin being the Cantonese name for Monsieur Hamelin, who, apparently, enjoys Korean food- especially Korean Rice Cake.
We couldn’t possibly make this stuff up.
