The Racecourse will be transformed into a full-blown festival, where the excitement of live horseracing meets the high-energy atmosphere of Germany’s legendary beer halls—it’s the ultimate fusion of tradition and excitement. General Admission

  • To enter the Public Enclosure, simply use your Octopus card to pay the HK$10 admission fee at racecourse entrance G to get into the public area which includes the Grandstand, betting hall and numerous restaurants.
  • To enter the special betting zone within the Public Enclosure, an additional admission fee applies.
  • No person under 18 is allowed to bet or enter premises where bets are accepted.
  • Tourist aged 18 or above and hold a valid travel document or passport for entry to Hong Kong can enjoy free entry to public enclosure.

Opening Hours

  • Horse racing runs from September to July, usually on Wednesday nights (*May subject to change on special race days, refer to racing calendar). 
  • Opening Time: 2 hours prior to the first race until the end of the last race. If there are more than 8 races during the night, the opening time will bring forward accordingly. The first race starts at 6:40* PM or 7:10*PM, depends of the number of races arranged that night. The last race finishes at around 11:00PM*
  • The suggested last entry time is 9:30PM to ensure that aside from the horse racing, you can enjoy other entertainment performances in the venue.
  • The racecourse is open on all public holidays unless otherwise announced.
