This year marks the 140th anniversary of The Hong Kong Jockey Club. The Club – under the banner “With You. Then. Now. Always.” – has organised a series of celebratory initiatives to mark this milestone and recognise the Hong Kong people’s contribution to its purpose of acting continuously for the betterment of society, including the HKJC 140th Anniversary Raceday at Sha Tin Racecourse today (Sunday, 20 October).
The Class 2 HKJC 140th Anniversary Cup Handicap (1600m) was the afternoon’s feature race on a day where racegoers enjoyed catering offers and on-course entertainment activities at Sha Tin.
The Caspar Fownes-trained Karma, ridden by Vincent Ho, takes the Class 2 HKJC 140th Anniversary Cup Handicap (1600m) at Sha Tin Racecourse on Sunday.
Michael Lee, Chairman of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, presents the trophies to winning owner Manu N Melwani & Roshan Manohar Melwani, trainer Caspar Fownes and jockey Vincent Ho.
